The title of today’s post says it all, but, for the benefit of younger readers / listeners, Hattie’s latest Hum is her take on that old Flanders and Swann classic, the hippopotamus song.
Despite my bellowing, Hattie has been enjoying a mud bath on our walks most mornings recently, the small stream at the bottom of the paddock we walk in pretty-much evaporated but for a thick residue of stinking tar. One would expect more restraint of a guide dog, but sadly Hattie does not take her official role very seriously…
Huge thanks to our old friend Tom Carradine - of cock-a-knee singalong fame - for the piano accompaniment, which has been pressed into service for many variations on the original theme.
